This is Freddy. Freddy’s a cat.
Freddy, on the other hand, is sometimes a hat.
Chelley Tunez was watching TV at home one day when her adorable 5-month-old cat started descending the stairway behind the couch. Rather than taking all the steps down as he usually does, Freddy took a shortcut to join her.
“He simply poked his little head [over the fence] and plopped his head on top of mine,” Tunez explained to The Dodo. “Then came the small feet.”
Freddy must have had a lovely epiphany when he discovered this previously unknown resting area. The lap cat would now insist on being a cap cat from then on.
“He does it at least once a night,” stated Tunez. “He’s been doing it to my spouse as well.”
Freddy would typically spend 10 to 20 minutes perched above their heads, simply chilling, after settling in.
Tunez began using her hand to hold the rump of her cute kitty hat since Freddy tends to become so comfortable up there that he starts to fall off.
“When he’s had it, he’ll slide down the side of your head and wrap himself around your neck like a stole,” Tunez explained.
Freddy’s choice of resting area, while maybe unusual, is motivated by one thing: spending quality time with his companions.
Tunez described him as “ridiculously affectionate.” “The hugs are excessive.”
