Former Bait Dog Too Depressed To Lift Her Head Can’t Stop Wagging Her Tail Now !
A neglected and severely exhausted dog is tied with heavy chains and is left without food and water…
When you come throughout a dog-fighting operation, it is no longer a highly scene. Dozens of neglected and severely emaciated puppies are tied up with heavy chains and left with no meals or water.
Sometimes these aggravating experiences scar dogs for a lifetime, while others still crave people’s interest and love….
Rescuers from the Texas SPCA found fourteen puppies in a suspicious dog-fighting operation in August. When rescuer Madeline Yeaman approached the scene, all the puppies jumped and tempted her attention. All puppies, however one.
Then they watched her. Exhausted and heavily hydrated, death almost knocked on her door. On her neck was a tight massive necklace that had once been tied with a heavy chain. She had no refuge from the scorching Texas sun.
SHE USED TO BE IN SUCH TERRIBLE SHAPE THAT SHE BECAME TOO SUSCEPTIBLE TO MOVING. IT TOOK TIME TO MAKE HER GET UP … THE VET EXAMINED THIS BAD PUPPY AND STATED THAT “ALMOST NO BLOOD IS PUMPING HER VEINS.”
They immediately received her to begin healing and named her Gwen Stefani. The first release they did was to remove the cracked, wounded skin affected by fleas. They also gave her several transfusions of blood, water and food.
As days went by, Gwen began to raise her head up more and more, until she felt like a dog again. “No longer used to be Gwen torpid and hopeless,” the SPCA wrote. “She greets every person with a wiggly body, wagging tail and trademark pit bull smile.
As her physique healed, her spirit began to glow and began to erupt from the shell. Now she enjoys walking outdoors and is showered with love and attention, all things that most puppies take for granted.
“She’s certainly no longer lacking anything,” Yeaman informed The Dodo. “She’s acquired human beings loving on her all day long. She receives to go play outdoor all day long. It’s exceptional what a trade of surroundings and care and human beings can male in a dog’s view of the world.”
Gwen is a very blissful dog and she is ready to find her forever home. <3
IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT GWEN IS THE SAME DOG WE MET ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO. SHE WAS SO THIN AND DEFEATED THE DAY WE MET HER, HER RECOVERY IS NOTHING SHORT OF REMARKABLE. HER KINDNESS IS ONE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT WE LOVE MOST ABOUT HER; EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING SHE ENDURED SHE STILL LOVES PEOPLE SO MUCH. GWEN IS HERE TODAY, AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME, BECAUSE OF YOUR SUPPORT. WHEN YOU DONATE TO THE SPCA OF TEXAS YOU ARE HELPING ANIMALS LIKE HER GET A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE.
